Down in Netanya, where the news are sometimes bad
I’m eating "Hummus Uzi" and I feel a little sad
Instead of sitting in my room and crying like a jerk
Maybe I should go to Tel Aviv after work
To buy some vinyl records and to meet new friends
But above all, not forgetting the place I used to stand.
Well , I never used to walk in Tel Aviv all alone
You know, once I was depressed and then again I was born
I was born to be free, I was born to be wild
I was born to be grown and sometimes act like a child
I was born to sing the blues all over the land
About the same place that I used to stand.
Well, I’m not smoking at all but I love drinking beers
I love good guitar music, it definitely gives me chills !
Suddenly, one lady told me, after I snoozed
She said : “Hey you, with the bottle of beer, come here and try to sing the blues !
There’s a stage with a mic, so go now and take your stand
And sing that blues about the place you used to stand
Well, I’m coming from the grunge, I’m coming from the punk
I’m trying to keep cool and I ain’t messin’ with junk
Even a punk & grunge boy can try to sing the blues
You know. it ain’t a damn shame and I got nothin’ left to loose
Well, It’s never to late in my age to try new brands
And still sing that blues about the place I used to stand..
