The Treasureman's Blues

by Moti Dror

/

lyrics

Some people say I’m a treasure man, well I guess this is true
They say I got the talent, and I got the blues
Some people say I’m a treasure man, well I guess this is true
Well I’m just writing songs, that’s all I can do

I was walking in the square, I saw a man with a guitar
He said : Hey, come and play the blues for me, you big superstar
I was kind of shy, but I broke all the rules
I told him “Sure ! why not?! “ I grabbed his guitar and I started playin’ the blues

I was jammin’ and shoutin’ all over the town
Suddenly people started to gather ‘round
A security guard passed by, “Excuse me, what’s goin’ on here ?!” He said
And he was told that they came here to hear the treasure mans’ playin’

("Are you the Treasure man ?
"I am!"
"Well what are you waiting for ?! Start playin' !
"Alright!")

(Solo)

Well I guess I’m a treasure man, who am I to disagree ?
Cause I’m writing songs about everything I see
Well I guess I’m a treasure man, probably that’s who I'm meant to be
